Learning to identify sounds in words to help my reading

This term I have been learning to:

  • identify phonic letters and sounds  within words
  • identify high frequency sight words
  • use Reading Eggs to help me   learn to identify sounds

I was learning to find the right word - the same as the bird.  My sight words are a little hard.  My mum helps me, if I won't practise i get growled.  Payton  30.03.17

Keep looking carefully at all the sounds in words when you read but also think about what you are reading so that you can get your mouth ready to say the word.  Check it, does it look right.  Keep practising with Mum at home Payton.   Mrs Templeton  30.03.17

Statistics: Learning to sort, count, display and make statements about the information

I have been learning to:
  • sort objects into categories for display and make a class pictograph with support
  • discuss the results and make statements

I found out we liked butterflies best. Its hard for counting.  Payton 30.03.17

Payton, you find it very tricky to talk about your learning.  Its okay to make mistakes and when you talk and explain your learning, your teacher can help you more.  Mrs Templeton 30.03.17
