We are learning to use adjectives in our stories to make them interesting.

We are learning to identify basic shapes and make a picture with them.

I am learning to look at the first and last sounds in words to help me work out new words.

Payton, now that you have learnt your letter sounds you are able to write 3 letter words independently.

Payton, you are learning your numbers to 20 and beginning to recognise them all.

Learning with Youth Town

Here I am participating in our Youth Town Programme. It’s all about having fun and learning new skills. I am learning to aim and throw at a target!

Story writing

I am learning to use finger spaces in my writing and the beginning sounds.

'I can use my finger for a space and read my story." said Payton

Reading

I am learning to point to the words to make sure I do not miss any words out.  Learning my alphabet is going to help me with the beginning sounds.

"I can point to the words, and look at the pictures to help me" said Payton

I am learning to draw a self portrait

We first sketched what we thought we looked like into our sketchbooks.  Mrs Scott showed us how to sketch all our features.  We used watercolour paints for our artwork.

Reading

I am learning to point to the words so I don't miss one out.  I use the pictures to help me get clues.

Story writing

 

 Look at your story at the beginning of the year and look at how many more things you can do now. Keep trying!     

Swimming fun
